Common Questions / Digital Simulation Troubleshooting
Answer: Try again. Sometimes it takes a few attempts for the simulation menu screen to fully load.
Answer: If the loading bar is still progressing, wait at least 2 minutes before giving up or restarting. Loading time may vary depending on network speed and your computer.
Answer: Press “ESC” twice to go to the menu and select “Restart Session.".
Answer: Wait 30 to 60 seconds to see if the game loads. If it doesn’t, press “ESC” twice to go to the menu, then select “Restart Session.”
Answer: You need a mouse with at least 2 buttons and a keyboard with arrow keys to play the simulation.
Accessibility Note: If you cannot use a mouse and regularly use keyboard shortcuts to replace mouse buttons, it is possible to play the simulation using only the keyboard.
Answer: The simulations can only be played on a desktop or laptop computer such as a Chromebook, Mac, or PC.
Answer: Press “ESC” twice. At the top of the menu you can select “CC” and “Mute.”
Answer: Press “ESC” twice for the menu and select “Controls.”
Answer: On the screen near the instructor, there is a labeled button you must press to start the activity. You can also play the tutorial again from this screen.
Answer: In most simulations, tools and materials either regenerate or will return to an accessible place. If you can’t recover a tool or material or use a similar one, press “ESC” twice to go to the menu and select “Restart Game.” You do not need to restart the session.
